About Me

Hello, my name is Aseaka!
(uh-SEE-kuh)
"Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time."
Thomas Merton
It was when I grappled a crayon and pressed it onto colored construction paper for the first time, that I knew- I was meant to do this.
My developmental years proved to be especially challenging, but I quickly found that creating something out of nothing- it was freeing.
Through the process of making art, I was free of the overwhelming environments at school, the desperate moments of isolation at home, and the harsh tundra that was the little world inside my mind.
Much like most creatives, I was pushed and shoved in directions that betrayed the one I was drawn to- making me question my own capabilities and what I really wanted to do with this life experience.
A few major plot points later, I found myself on the dirt path to healing- a journey that few seem to go down, but is absolutely necessary if you wish to lead a life abundant with true love and understanding.
In my journey so far, I've curated a loving household with my husband and our cats, turned my inner tundra into an evergreen garden, and started building up the skills that my mind, body, and soul were naturally inclined to grow and excel at.
This expansion is the next step on my path- to share with others, and pass along the life lessons I've collected to those who dare trudge in the mud.
Thank you to all who have supported me thus far.
I sincerely look forward to what the future has in store for us, and I'm grateful we're able to enjoy it together.
